The Project<\/span><\/span><\/h2>\n

RiScopro is aimed at children and young people in primary and secondary schools in the province of Vicenza. The project is part of the environmental awareness and protection programs, in fact through guided tours and laboratory activities the new generations were involved in the knowledge of natural ecosystems to learn the importance of adopting correct habits and behaviors while respecting nature.<\/span><\/p>\n

The project, carried out by the Municipality of Bressanvido together with the social cooperative La Casetta di Vicenza and with the support of Latterie Vicentine, the Risorgimento Committee of Bressanvido, the Province and the Education Authority, received a contribution from the Cariverona Foundation, which allows all activities to be carried out completely free of charge for both schools and families. EPC srl provided technical support, monitoring and evaluation services.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Why Bressanvido?<\/h2>\n

The municipality of Bressanvido, in the province of Vicenza, is located in the Po-Veneto plain, in a transition area between the high and low plains. It is a particular territory from an environmental point of view, being crossed by resurgences: artificial outcrops of underground water, diverted to the surface by the presence of impervious areas underground. In the Bressanvido area there are several dozen resurgences, which create a network of waterways immersed in the countryside. These environments constitute ideal places for numerous species of plants and animals, both aquatic and terrestrial, becoming an example of biodiversity.<\/span><\/p>\n

The surrounding environmental context is of great importance for ecological protection and environmental biodiversity.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

For several years the municipality has been engaged in activities to enhance and protect the resurgences. In recent years, thanks to a European project, cleaning and restoration works have been carried out on the springs, which have made it possible to create a pedestrian path along the waterways.<\/span><\/p>\n

Involvement<\/span><\/span><\/h2>\n

Around ten schools took part in the initiative, for a total of over 300 children and young people. Some high school classes also participated, carrying out water sampling and analysis activities to study its quality. The activities will also be repeated for the 2023-2024 school year. “Our goal is to bring at least 60 classes to Bressanvido for a total of around 1,200 students”.<\/span><\/p>\n

The contribution of the Cariverona Foundation<\/a> has also made it possible to set up a classroom dedicated to the theme of springs and environmental education, which will remain available and can also be used outside the RiScopro project for meetings, workshops and activities. The RiScopro<\/em> project offers the opportunity to enhance and make this unique territory accessible to schools across the province.<\/span><\/p>\n
