{"id":45220,"date":"2025-06-03T10:10:43","date_gmt":"2025-06-03T08:10:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.epcsrl.eu\/?p=45220"},"modified":"2026-07-21T12:34:54","modified_gmt":"2026-07-21T10:34:54","slug":"open-data-at-the-service-of-the-territory","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.epcsrl.eu\/en\/open-data-at-the-service-of-the-territory\/","title":{"rendered":"Open Data Serving the Territory: Join the EnCLOD Event!"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>\ud83d\udcc5 <strong>10 June 2025<\/strong> | \ud83d\udccd <strong>Villa Fabris, Thiene (Vicenza)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cOpen Data Serving the Territory: Towards Effective Local Governance\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>How can open data become a practical tool for making public policies more effective while promoting the environmental and economic sustainability of local territories?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This key question will be addressed during the conference \u201cOpen Data Serving the Territory: Towards Effective Local Governance\u201d, taking place on 10 June in the prestigious setting of Villa Fabris in Thiene, in the Province of Vicenza.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The event is organised within the framework of the European <a href=\"https:\/\/www.interreg-central.eu\/projects\/enclod\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">EnCLOD<\/a> project \u2014 <em>Enhancing Governance Capacities of Local Authorities using Open Data<\/em> \u2014 a strategic initiative funded by the Interreg Central Europe transnational cooperation programme. It is promoted by the Province of Vicenza in close cooperation with IUAV University of Venice and ALDA+.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Within this cooperation framework, European Project Consulting \u2014<a href=\"https:\/\/www.epcsrl.eu\/en\/portfolio_page\/project-financial-and-communication-management-of-enclod\/\"> EPC<\/a> \u2014 plays a key role as an external consultant supporting the Province of Vicenza with the project\u2019s technical coordination.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>EPC will actively contribute to the event through a broad introductory presentation delivered by Francesca Borga, EPC Project Manager. The main objective of the event is to promote an open-data culture within public administrations and encourage a modern and participatory approach to territorial governance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>A Programme Rich in Content and High-Level Contributions<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The morning session will provide a comprehensive overview, combining institutional contributions with high-level technical presentations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The event will officially open with institutional greetings from local and regional authorities:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Roberto Ciambetti, President of the Regional Council of Veneto;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Andrea Nardin, President of the Province of Vicenza;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Filippo Negro, Vice-President of the Province of Vicenza.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Following the opening remarks, Francesca Borga from EPC will present the EnCLOD project, outlining its main areas of activity, the progress achieved and the initiative\u2019s future objectives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Vincenzo Patruno, a recognised open-data expert from ISTAT, will then use practical examples to demonstrate how the effective use of open data can play a crucial role in creating a genuinely transparent and efficient public administration that responds more closely to citizens\u2019 needs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The second part of the morning, moderated by Nadia Di Iulio from ALDA+, will focus on the close relationship between open data, territorial development and economic competitiveness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This session will feature contributions from several distinguished speakers:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Idelfo Borgo \u2014 Veneto Region:<\/strong> will provide an updated overview of the current status and dissemination of open data at regional level.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Nicola Piva \u2014 Municipality of Bologna:<\/strong> will present a successful case study and example of good practice implemented at local level.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Giorgia Zunino \u2014 Fondazione Hedu-x ETS:<\/strong> will explore approaches and methodologies related to data-driven governance.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>At the end of the morning session, Francesco Bruzzone from IUAV University of Venice will present the EnCLOD pilot action.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This practical initiative focuses on collecting and analysing specific data to optimise winter road salting in mountainous areas. It is a concrete application designed to save valuable public resources, significantly improve road safety and reduce the environmental impact of salt on surrounding land.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Afternoon Workshop and Participation Information<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>In the afternoon, from <strong>2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.<\/strong>, the event will continue with an invitation-only technical training session, also led by Francesco Bruzzone from IUAV University of Venice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The workshop will focus on the use of open data in relation to climate-related challenges, sustainable mobility and territorial transformations.
