EPC srl is proud to support the Province of Vicenza, in close collaboration with IUAV, University of Venice, in managing and coordinating the pilot activities of the EnCLOD project, funded by the Interreg Central Europe Program.
Since last week, four new weather stations have been operational along the provincial roads of the Alto Vicentino area (SP 46, SP 349, and SP 350), in the municipalities of Lastebasse, Valli del Pasubio, Valdastico, and Asiago.
An additional information panel has been installed in Cogollo del Cengio to update drivers on weather conditions in real time.
The stations, powered by a solar panel and battery, measure temperature, humidity, road surface condition, rain, and snow. The collected data is transmitted in real time and will be used by the IUAV to develop a model that will allow the Province of Vicenza to optimize salt spreading in winter, improving safety and efficiency.
The data will soon be available to citizens through an interactive Open Data map on the Province’s website.
